“Like an artist Huniford mixed genres incorporating antique industrial & architectural elements into his design.”
As seen in the July/August issue of Elle Decor on stands right now.
“More than anything I wanted a soothing interior, but I love creating pull and tension between pieces that are important and those that are not.”

Ethan Murrow is exhibiting a new show entitled “The Rural Myth” at Obsolete in Venice, CA: a graphite drawings and video exhibit. This show runs through May 15th.
There is a great article on the salon I designed for Marie Robinson, whose clients include Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway and Uma Thurman, in today’s issue of Women’s Wear Daily. The article states “…blue and gray-washed wood floors, huge windows looking east and west and various nooks and sections that aim to make the modern, 5,000 square-foot space appear intimate.”
Pick up a copy to see the full article if you have a chance.

This is a great William IV Style wingback chair that I recently found at an auction. It is posted on our 1st Dibs site here.

I found these interesting industrial gears with a beautiful green painted finish. These can be used as wall art or can be mounted on stands to add interest to a table.
Check them out on 1st Dibs
My most recent commercial project was a salon for Marie Robinson’s in New York’s Flatiron District. Dossier Journal featured the salon in their current issue calling it “optimistic, fresh and pretty”.
Take a look at the article here.
This week is the last chance to see this great show by Dutch artist Joris Laarman. Laarman has evolutionized design by using algorithms, originally used by the German car industry, to reduce and strengthen his designs by optimizing material allocation, and weight and stability, while minimizing material input. In his own words, he sculpted “using mother nature’s underlying codes.” The effect is amazing.
Check out Laarman’s work at Friedman Benda.
